Since I have a feeling Robin would not be pleased if anyone thought he was nervous about his first day as a second-year Ross student, let me be very clear: the only person in our household suffering from first-day jitters today was me. I can’t help it. I’m anxious to fall into what will become our routine this quarter. Which hours will be blocked off for study groups? How will the club meeting juggling act work out on Sundays? And, of course, there’s the happy hour circuit….
But even though our schedule has yet to be determined, I’m so excited for fall to be underway. Football games, festivals, and foliage are just a few reasons why I love autumn in Ann Arbor. The return of great friends I met last year who spent the summer having adventures everywhere from Manhattan to Mumbai is another huge factor, and I can’t wait to meet the new members of the Ross community who I know will help make the next nine months a blast.
So even though I’m not the one starting a new school year, I experienced a little bit of that first-day feeling of anticipation as I sat down to write the first Ross Partners’ Blog post of the year. In addition to getting a little nostalgic about freshly-sharpened pencils, I always associate this time of year with new friends and new beginnings, and I already know fall 2012 will deliver.

Which hours will be blocked off for reading assemblies? How will the club meeting juggling act exercises on Sundays
